Patchwork brings together six Latin American women artists from different backgrounds, whose creations weave a link between different art forms, ranging from painting to photography and sculpture. Each of these artists explores unique territories, while sharing a common vision: that of an aesthetic dialogue between materials, forms and narratives.
Through painting, Niura Bellavinha deploys her geometric abstractions, where colors intertwine and come to life, inviting the viewer to reflect on the perception of the world.
The bronze sculptures of Pietrina Checcacci present a feminine universe. The artist discovered Spinoza and his “aesthetics” in her youth and, from that moment on, she chose to make the strength of the feminine the permanent and central theme of her artistic journey.
Marcela Ferrero‘s research has many affinities with that of the Russian-born artist Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944). For him, art must touch the soul of the individual, and one of the most effective ways to achieve this is through the use of abstraction and color.
The photographer Teodelina Detry captures fleeting moments, offering a window into the intimacy of everyday life, sublimated by her sharp and sensitive gaze. In her black and white research, she explores the representation of freedom and fragility.
From an early age, Mila Mayer immortalized her life through photography. Her new series reveals the impact of technology on her images.
In the works of Mai-Britt Wolthers, forms are often repeated. Symbols and elements sometimes disrupt the flow of the composition, bringing freshness to her visual language.
Through this patchwork of works and disciplines, the exhibition invites us to travel in a universe where each form, each texture, each image creates a dialogue between the artists and the public. The exhibition thus becomes a reflection of the diversity and intensity of contemporary creation, a space for encounters between different sensitivities, ranging from formal explorations to personal questioning.
