The works of the Swiss artist transit between photography and cinema. Trained at the renowned School of Photography in Vevey, Jutzeler closely intertwines a constant and personal practice of photography with a career as a cinematographer, which began in the 1990s. He has collaborated, among others, with filmmaker Alain Tanner and regularly receives awards for his documentary and fiction films.
In 2014, he received the Quartz Award for Best Cinematography in Swiss Cinema. Between two film projects, Denis diligently continues his personal photographic work, and in 2010, his work won the Swiss Photo Award.
