Several universes will converge at espace_L. The works of artist and photographer Daniel Mattar will enter into dialogue with those of female artists such as Niura Bellavinha, Victoire Cathalan, Ana Lombard, and Noora Kulvik, represented by espace_L.

Daniel Mattar’s photographic work draws inspiration from painting. Through the use of contemporary techniques and tools, the artist offers us his vision of a fabulous technological world, integrating features from another era, notably those of paint tubes and collages. Mattar’s images are built around paradoxes, where new technologies contrast with traditional worlds, dimensions, and volumes.

The creations of multidisciplinary artist Niura Bellavinha are marked by a persistent investigation into the elements of nature. She continuously explores the intrinsic characteristics and possibilities of water, earth, and even meteorites—elements that appear in her performances, installations, and paintings.

The pictorial works of Victoire Cathalan, whose field of expression lies in painting and drawing, reveal a universe on the border between the human and plant worlds, exploring the interior and exterior—and at times simultaneously—the micro and the macro.

The multifaceted artistic practice of the duo Noora Kulvik and Ana D. Lombard stems from their observation that “the only constant in the universe is movement.” Their work is a collaboration guided by exploration and experimentation with movement.

The ensemble of exhibited works and their diversity represent a universe to be explored—a new galaxy that we invite you to discover at espace_L.
