Brasilitude

Niura Bellavinha, Ricardo Cotrim, Fernando de la Rocque,
Geraldo Marcolini and Heberth Sobral

The Brasilitude exhibition celebrates the bicentenary of Brazil’s independence in 1822, with reference to the 1922 Modern Art Week, a milestone in the history of Brazilian art.

Brasilitude presents works by five contemporary Brazilian artists, offering the public an immersion in Brazil through contemporary art.

The ceramics of Fernando de la Rocque and Heberth Sobral reference Brazilian baroque with a touch of humour. Often in the form of mandalas, they transport the public into a trance.

The chromatic and rhythmic canvases of Niura Bellavinha and Geraldo Marcolini start from concrete movement and abstraction, transforming into vegetation and landscapes and leading the observer to interact with the exuberance of the tropics.

The sounds composed by Ricardo Cotrim allow you to hear and travel through Brazil in different ways.

We invite you to immerse yourself in the chromatic and sonic universe of Brasilitude.
