Fernando de la Rocque

Fernando de la Rocque is a Brazilian artist who graduated in sculpture from the University of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro in 2004. He has created an authentic art form, using several media: drawing, painting, embroidery, porcelain tiles and sculpture. His pictorial vocabulary incorporates joyful, colorful human figures and references to pleasure through sensual scenes. The use of hallucinogenic smoke is present as a creative medium in the artist’s psychedelic work. This has given rise to much debate.
